LSE Access to Education Undergraduate Scholarships

LSE offers awards made up of support for the tuition fee and living costs for offer holders holding an offer of a place on an LSE Undergraduate programme whose immigration status is classed as:

  • an asylum-seeker; or
  • a refugee; or
  • a person with humanitarian protection; or
  • a person who is resident in the UK and has been granted Discretionary/Limited Leave to Remain in the UK

Eligibility

Students in one of the following categories are eligible to be considered for one of these scholarships:

  • asylum seekers, children of asylum seekers or unaccompanied asylum-seeking children who are seeking asylum in the UK and who are holding an offer for an undergraduate place at LSE
  • those who have been granted Refugee status or humanitarian protection, but do not have settled status in the UK,  or their children, and who are holding an offer for an undergraduate place at LSE
  • those who are resident in the UK with some form of limited leave to remain or temporary status, or their dependants if under 18, and who are holding an offer for an undergraduate place at LSE

Priority will be given to those who are unable to access funding from Student Finance England (or its national equivalent In Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), but each case will be assessed on need.

Scholarship amount

For 2022 entry, full and partial awards will be made to cover tuition fees (either Home or Overseas) and living costs, considering financial need and the ability to access funding from the UK government.

Once you've received an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional), you can apply for this scholarship. Please complete the scholarship application form. By completing this form, you will ensure that you receive consideration for this and any other LSE scholarship(s) which you meet the eligibility criteria for.

The deadline for the receipt of applications is: 28 April 2022

To be considered for a scholarship you will need to complete the LSE Undergraduate Scholarship Application 2022

You will need to return a scanned copy along with your supporting documents to the FSO at financial-support@lse.ac.uk

Your academic reference can also be sent by email from the institutional email address of your referee to the FSO inbox (financial-support@lse.ac.uk), we will match it with your application.
